Fish: Yes. Kidney Beans: No.

Five-year-old, under pressure to eat one -- one -- cooked kidney bean (a potentially new food experience, despite much interaction with other kinds of beans): "I have to eat the WHOLE thing? Can I just eat half of it? I can't. I can't eat it. It's disgustin'. It's, like, slimy and ... and ... it's yucky. I can't. I can't do it." [Covers mouth with hands, displays horrified widened eyes, shakes head frantically.]

We didn't make her do it.

I just found your blog and love it! I love how you break down your meals and the tips you have on your side bar. I'm curious on why you use 3 mortar and pestles? I have one and LOVE it but never thought I would need more than one.

Thanks! Emily

Because I'm a geek and pathologically unable to throw things away...?
And because sometimes one is dirty and I hate washing dishes?
And because sometimes I do actually use two in one meal...
thanks for visiting!
